Please take note that the battery of the iTrack can only last up to 6 days in standby mode (when you are not tracking or configuring the tracker). If you are tracking the device 1-2 times a day, the battery can last up to 4 days. If more than 3 times a day, it last less.
You can try resetting the device and recondition the battery by following the steps below:
Reset iTrack to defaults and disable all features by sending the following commands while in a good reception area:
Note: Wait for a response before sending the next command. Make sure to key in small letters only.
This one will reactivate the default sleep mode:
After performing the steps above, proceed with below steps:
- If the battery is already empty, remove it from the tracker together with the SIM card and leave them out of the tracker for 2-3 hours. This is to drain any static electricity that may still be in the tracker. If the battery is not empty yet, drain it first before removing it out from the tracker together with the SIM.
- After 2-3 hours with the battery out of the tracker, insert the battery back to the tracker with the SIM card then charge the tracker. Charge it for at least 10 hours but not more than 12 hours. Charge the battery using the wall charger.
- After charging the battery, turn the tracker on and leave the tracker in an open area for 3-5 minutes to establish GSM and GPS signal then try calling it to test if it will reply with the coordinates.
- If the tracker can reply with its current coordinates, observe it if it will have the same problem.
