The remote control that came with the camera is based on infrared. The receiver module only receives the light wave emitted by straight emission line. When the emission head or receiver is blocked or the light wave emitted by the emission head can't be received, the remote control will fail to function. Make sure to aim the emission head of the remote control to the receiver module of the unit.
Also, take note of the following when using the remote control.
- When you press A or C buttons on the remote control, the unit will make two 'tick' sounds after receiving instructions. For B or D buttons, the unit will make one 'tick' sound then will enable appropriate functions.
- When manual recording is enabled (press A button on the remote), the unit will continuously record until you press the STOP (B button on the remote) or until the microSD is out of memory (in cases where OverWrite mode is set to OFF). New files will be generated when the recording time exceeds 15 minutes.
- If the batteries installed on the remote control have low voltages, it will shorten the remote control's light emission distance. Please replace the batteries.
- When the remote control is not in use for a long time, make sure to remove the batteries to avoid circuit damage.
